Binzhou Library was founded in1979, which is a public library set up by Binzhou government .The new building  located at No.662 Yellow River road 12 and nearby Zhonghai Park, Citizen plaza and Olympic centre.

Binzhou Library is a modern and comprehensive library, adopts the service mode of “save, lend and read” .The library provides free library service to all readers, books lending, newspapers and journals reading, e-books reading, lectures and so on.  A wirele ss network covers the entire area of the Binzhou Library. In lending services, users can locate documents more conveniently and enjoy self-service book lending and return thanks to the Interlib books management system and radio-frequency identification (RFID) technology.

The collection feature of Binzhou Library is comprehensive, public and local. In the library, there are over 120,000 new books, over 50 newspapers and over 800 journals, which are open to all to lend. The collection of ancient and rare materials includes Si Ku Quan Shu, Bohai Daily and so on. The library has also formed the book collection system characterized by local literature. Meanwhile, the library actively promotes resources sharing project and digital library construction, introduces lots of digital resources, such as Chao Xing network library, China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), VIPExam database. Chao Xing network library includes 20 million e-books and kinds of journals, newspapers, dissertations, which are free to all net users in Binzhou. Rich resources provide more channels for users to acquire knowledge. The library initially formed the documents information service system, focusing on information service, all-round, multi-level, open and created a new mode of nationwide reading.

To build the whole reading environment ,the library set up reading room widely and gave support of the grass-level library to build or rebuild .Donating books to village reading room and carrying out all kinds of reading activities, the library extends the public library service, meets the growing culture needs of citizens and achieves good service effect and social praise .

Binzhou Library is the new landmark of Binzhou. The library will bring new reading feeling to citizens for its “barrier-free, equal and modern”. In the future, Binzhou Library shall create management ideas and reform service models continuously to meet the needs for all readers and go forward to the target of a multi-function library.

Registration Regulations

Go to the Self-service Registration machine using your ID card, the procedure is as follows:

Put your ID card on the card area.

Click Card Application on the screen.

Input your personal phone number.

The initial password is the birthday of your ID card.(eight numbers)

Rules and Regulations for Readers

To maintain good service order of the library, readers should follow rules consciously:

Go to the Self-service Registration machine to register using your ID card.

Readers are allowed to take 3 books for maximum 60 days at a time.

Readers should check for any damage to the book or any loose pages, inform the staff if it is damaged.

Please put personal books and bags into the locker.

Readers should be aware of the appearance, dressed decently and be polite and civilized in the library. Do not enter the library after drink. Do not smoke. Do not spit. Do not speak loudly. Do not make calls and eat food in the reading area. Do not bring pet into the library.

Reading and Lending Regulations

Go to the Self-service Registration machine to register using your ID card

Choose books in reading area .(Readers are allowed to take 3 books for maximum 60 days at a time) Readers can renew books once, the length of renewal is 30 days.

Go to the Self-service Borrow and Return machine to borrow and return using your ID card.
